We have DC Drum Set Workshop Level One and Level Two courses that start you out from the very beginning. They will help you start out correctly so you get the most out of your practice. Choosing another beginner course is easy once you are in the DC Academy.

The DC Academy has courses with all the information you need. Our legendary instructors have taught many of these courses in universities for years. You can choose from intermediate to advanced. How good you get depends on how much you practice. As we say, “Your future is in your hands.”

Every time you hear a drummer play, you may learn something. But there is no substitute for great instruction. On Drum Channel, we teach you the How, What, and Why of playing. So, you get the skills and knowledge to learn from every drummer you hear and be able to play it.

We have playalongs with many courses so you can try out what you have just learned.  We also have a library of Classic songs that we add to every week with lessons and a library of educational playalongs that prepare you to play any song. They are Drums Hot and Drumless, and you can adjust the speed.

Don’t worry, most of our members are just like you. They work during the day and want to play for fun when they can. At DC, we say it takes the three P’s: Practice, Patience, and Perseverance. Even if you only have 15–20 minutes a few times a week, there are lots of courses that will help you get better little by little.

Many private teachers include Drum Channel lessons as part of their weekly curriculum. You can also easily choose lessons at your skill level to supplement what you are working on. We always encourage private instruction, and combining private instruction with Drum Channel is a great way to learn.

Drum Channel is about Education in the DC Academy, and Entertainment is where you will learn by listening to amazing performances and great interviews. It is an opportunity to hang out with the best.

Yes, the practice assist patented feature increases the speed after a period of time.  It is factory set to 120 BPM for 5 minutes, then 123 for 5 minutes, then 126 for 5 minutes. You can use the metronome on the site to practice your rudiments. It is also available in the App Store. Search for Rudiment Pro Metronome.
